Eastminster-based Toronto Choral Society presents concert Dec. 12
The Toronto Choral Society, which is based out of Eastminster United Church on the Danforth, where it practices and performs, is presenting a holiday concert at the church on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20, available at the door or from choir members.
Titled Joyeux Noel!, it celebrates French composers in a concert that includes Francis Poulenc featured on Gloria and Marc-Antoine Charpentier featured on Messe de Minuit pour Noel.
Eastminster United Church is located at 310 Danforth Ave (Chester and Danforth).

The Toronto Choral Society has been based out of Eastminster United Church for the past few years, but its roots can be traced to 1845, making it one of the oldest organizations of any kind in Toronto.
The choir practices at the church on Wednesday nights from September to June with additional practice sessions prior to performance.
The full choir numbers more than 100 singers, but new members are always welcome and like many community choirs there always seems to be a demand for male voices.
