"Young Years" has been a favorite of mine since Floyd Cramer did it back in the '60s. But I never got around to researching the composer till today (17 July 07). Mr. Cowell seems to be one of the few people on this Earth blessed with being able to make a living by purely following his heart. Shortly after Floyd Cramer came out with his version of "Young Years", (I was in high school at the time), I heard, no more than 3 or 4 times, a vocal version of that song.
